Mr. Basketball. The 4th All-Time Scoring Champion in the Czech Republic, Michal is known as the most innovative and progressive coach in the Czech Republic. As the head coach of the Czech Republic Men’s “A” National Team and the three top Czech clubs (Sparta Prague, BK Prostejov and Nymburk), his knowledge and expertise have developed NBA players including Jiri Welsch of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Jiri Zidek /formerly UCLA and Charlotte Hornets. He has scouted and developed players throughout his career and has managed to fully integrate the nation’s top prospects through a guided process; players receive individual attention in the top league teams and development continues with the Czech Republic National Team. Michal has led the country’s basketball program – lecturing at the Charles University, cooperating with the NCAA, basketball programs with Nike Czech Republic, etc. Simply put – any basketball star arising from the Czech Republic has a coaching history with Michal. In 2007 served a 5 month internship at Unicaja Mŕlaga with Coach Sergio Scariolo. Also during 2007 and 2008 offseasons Michael is Jiri Welsch's (Unicaja Mŕlaga) personal trainer.
