Daniel Ferguson is fresh off the Final 8 CIS Championships where he led the tourney at 26.3ppg en route to tournament all-star. He led his team to the championship game where they ultimately received a silver medal. Ferguson is no stranger to the leadership role and consequently has been named team captain for the past four years as a Varsity athlete, at both Berry College and at the University of Alberta.
Ferguson’s dynamic ability to efficiently shoot from 3 point range and also be a high volume, high percentage free throw shooter poses a difficult matchup for most any defensive scheme. Perhaps his ability to find open teammates as a consequence of the attention he draws is his most underrated skill. This skill was on full display during his last year at the University of Alberta where he manned full-time point guard duties.
