Scott Saunders is a very skilled inside offensive center who can shoot well with either hand. He sharply improved his shooting skills and accuracy during every year of his college career. He led the Atlantic Sun Conference in points-per-minutes played in 2012 and he was 22nd in the NCAA in that category. He has the ability to face the basket from 12 to 17 feet and both shoot and drive right or left from that area. He is a solid competitive athlete with a very strong body and exhibits good fundamental defense and rebounding techniques. Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Week 2011, 2012. Atlantic Sun Conference All league 2nd team 2011. He is a team player who has made big contributions to championship teams throughout his basketball career. Belmont University was Atlantic Sun Conference regular season and conference tournament champion 2011 and 2012. Played in NCAA Tournament 2011 and 2012.
