Al Gharafa Doha (Qatar D1) strengthened their roster with addition of 29-year old American forward Travis Franklin, actually he replaced the other American in the team Justin Hawkins  who got released from the club after played 2 games only due his performance. Travis played recently at Louaize in Lebanese LBL league, but left the team earlier this month. In 20 games he recorded very impressive stats: 23.0ppg, 9.3rpg, 2.6apg and 1.7spg this season. The last summer Franklin played at Frayles de Guasave in Mexican CIBACOPA where in 39 games he averaged remarkable 25.5ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.9apg. Great season indeed as he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Mexican CIBACOPA 2nd Team, All-Star GameLeague Player of the Week (2 times).In 2011 he was drafted by Canton Charge (D-League) as #2 pick overall.The former Colorado State standoutis in his seventh season in pro basketball.Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Franklin has played previously professionally in Cyprus (Apollon), Dominican Republic (Caneros de La Romana) and Mexico (Pioneros Los Mochis, Soles and Abejas).
