Newly promoted JL Bourg Basket (ProA) strengthened their roster with addition of 28-year old Seychellois ex-international center Abdel Kader Sylla. He played recently at AS Monaco Basket in French ProA. He also spent pre-season at Hyeres-Toulon earlier this year.Sylla's team made it to the French La Semaine des AS Cup Final Four in 2012. He was a member of Seychellois Senior National Team back in 2011.Thanks to Sylla's pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Africa and of course North America). Sylla has played previously professionally also in Seychelles (Cobras) and France (Pau Lacq Orthez, Sluc Nancy and Entente Orleans 45).The scouts decsribe him following way: An hard worker, long armed, very athletic inside player. Has good moves around the basket, intimidates the opponents and can finish with thunderous dunks. Even after having done great improvements in last season, observers say he has yet a tremendous upside. Has dreams of getting drafted and playing in the NBA, maybe that they will come true.
