Bergamo Basket 2014 (Italian LegaDue) tabbed 23-year old Dominican guard Gelvis Solano. He played in the summer at Hunan in Chinese NBL league. In 8 games he averaged impressive 31.0ppg, 6.0rpg, 6.8apg and 3.6spg. The last season Solano played at Echague in Argentinian LigaA where in 36 games he had very remarkable stats: 19.8ppg, 3.9rpg, 4.3apg and 2.0spg.He received All-Northeast-10 1st Team award in 2015 at his college time.Solano represented Dominican Republic at the Centrobasket in Panama City (Panama) last year. His team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 5 games: 0.8ppg, 1.0rpg.Solano has played also professionally for other Dominican Rep. teams like Sameji, Enriquillo and Reales de La Vega.He attended Merrimack College until 2016 and it will be his second season in pro basketball.
