6’0” point guard Osvaldo Jeanty
has signed an agreement with the German club BBC Bayreuth. The team has recently won the German ProA championship, gaining the promotion to the Bundesliga first league. That’s the reason why Bayreuth chose a player such as Jeanty. Osvaldo, four time Canadian College Championship winner, played several times in both leagues. First in the 2007/08 season with Giants Noerdlingen, where he helped the team to reach the first place in the ProA championship and to gain a spot in the BBL. After having played an year in the German first league, Osvaldo started the 2008/09 season in Marocco, moving then back to Noerdlingen. In October he made the move to CS Gaz Metan Medias in Romania and in January he finally joined the Giessen 46ers team where he stayed for the rest of the season, averaging 13.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and converting 40.7% the 3FTs.
