BC-Vera-Tbilisi (Georgian Superleague) strengthened their roster with the addition of 32-year-old American 203cm center Derrick Nix. Nix played most recently at The Cru (The Basketball Tournament) in the U.S.In 2017 (four years after his graduation) he was drafted by Windy City Bulls (G-League) in the fourth round (90th overall).The former Michigan State star is in his tenth season in pro basketball.He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.Nix is a very experienced player. He has played also professionally in Canada (Windsor Express), France (Fougeres and Entente Orleans 45), Latvia (Ventspils and VEF Riga), Poland (Czarni), Slovenia, NBA G League (Grand Rapids Gold) and MBL (Michigan Avengers). Nix's team won the French Lower Tier Cup in 2022. Nix was voted to Latvian League All-Star Game back in 2014.
