Croatian-Bosnia and Herzegovina Forward Gojko Sudzum had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked Akranes IA, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.The 31-year old player had a double-double of 35 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Thor Thorl (#11, 0-1), the league's bottom-ranked team 102-92. Thanks to this victory Akranes IA moved-up to the 1st position in Icelandic Subway League. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Akranes IA won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Sudzum had a remarkable 73.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Akranes IA's top player in his first season with the team. Gojko Sudzum has solid league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 35.0ppg. Sudzum is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 14.0rpg) and averages impressive 73.7% FGP.
