Larry O'Bannon joins Antibes
Sharks Antibes (ProA) agreed terms with 30-year old American guard Larry O'Bannon. He played last season at Hapoel Eilat in Israeli Winner League. In 19 games he had 14.0ppg, 3.9rpg, 2.2apg and 1.3spg. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. They also advanced to the league semifinals. O'Bannon also played at SAV Vacallo (LNA) in Swiss league that season. In 18 games he recorded very impressive stats: 17.8ppg, 3.1rpg, 3.2apg and 1.4spg. He contributed to his team making it to the Swiss Cup Semifinals.
O'Bannon ended the previous (2011-12) season at Lanus (LigaA) in Argentinian league. In only one game he had 4 points and 3 assists. But the most of that year he spent at Boca Juniors (LigaA) in Argentinian league. In 49 games he recorded also remarkable stats: 16.1ppg, 2.7rpg and 1.2apg. Quite impressive season as he was named to Latinbasket.com All-Argentinian LigaA Honorable Mention and to the All-Star Game. The previous (10-11) season O'Bannon played at Maccabi Haifa (Winner League) in Israeli league. In 8 games he recorded 12.9ppg, 3.3rpg and 2.4apg. He also played 8 games in EuroChallenge where he recorded 12.1ppg, 3.8rpg, 1.3apg and 1.1spg. In 2010 summer O'Bannon played at Marinos (LPB) in Venezuelan league. He contributed to his team making it to the final after they ended regular season as second best team. O'Bannon won Bulgarian League championship title in 2008. He is quite experienced player. O'Bannon has played also professionally in Greece (A.G.O Rethymno Aegean), Italy (Udinese and Napoli) and Bulgaria (Lukoil Academik Sofia). He attended University of Louisville until 2005 and it will be his ninth season as a professional player.
