Giorgio Tesi Group Pistoia (Italian Serie A) added to their roster 34-year old international power forward Valerio Amoroso. He already started the season at Manital Torino (A2 Gold). In 10 games he recorded 12.7ppg, 5.2rpg, 2.8apg and 1.1spg this season.
The last season Amoroso played also at Manital Torino (A2 Gold). In 38 games he averaged impressive 16.8ppg, 7.3rpg and 2.0apg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. A very spectacular season in his career as he was selected Eurobasket.com All-Italian LNP Gold Center of the Year and voted to 1st Team and to the All-Star Game. The previous (12-13) season Amoroso was tested by VL Pesaro. In four Serie A games he averaged 8.8ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.5apg and 1.0spg. In 2011-12 season he played at BancaTercas (Nazionale A). In 32 games he averaged 11.5ppg, 5.7rpg, 2.0apg and 1.5spg.
In 2010-11 season Amoroso played at Granarolo. In 28 Serie A games he averaged 8.1ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.1apg and 1.4spg in 2010-11 season. His team made it to the Italian Lega2 Cup final in 2005.
Amoroso also represented Italy at the Qualifications to European Championships 2009 six years ago. His stats at that event were 8 games: 7.9ppg, 5.9rpg, FGP: 59.4%, 3PT: 29.2%, FT: 57.1%.Amoroso has played previously for five other Italian teams: Virtus 1934 Bologna, Scafati, Roseto, Sutor Montegranaro and Granarolo Bologna.
