Zarko Rakocevic signed with Kormend
The Hungarian First League's Lami-Ved Kormend has just announced the arrival of the Montenegrin bigman, Zarko Rakocevic. The former Euroleague-player signed a one year deal with the club after having played for the new Austrian champion BC Vienna last season. The 204 cm-tall center started his pro career with the Montenegrin powerhouse, Buducnost Podgorica where he became a key contributor (11.3 ppg., 5.3 rpg. in the Adriatic League in 2006/2007), what is more, he posted 8 points in the Euroleague in the following year. The 29 year-old bigman also played in the highest level of European Basketball as the member of Partizan Belgrade, after it he had stints with Bosna Sarajevo and Igokea. He started 2011/2012 in Vienna, but he was bought out by Valencia. Rakocevic spent 1 month in Spain, he scored 20 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and had 4 blocks in his best Eurocup game against Oostende, but he had to finish that year's campaign in another team, BC Boncourt. The Montenegrin import player averaged 16.6 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per contest in 2012/2013 as a member of BC Vienna.
