Great show for the Italians fans as Banca Tercas Teramo held off Azovmash Mariupol, gaining the second victory in Group A of EuroCup. The game leader for the winning team was Virgil Stanescu, who tallied 16 points in only 21 minutes at the home court, with 6-11 from the field and 4-4 from the free throws line. The 6'10'' Power Forward/Center also grabbed 10 rebounds, stealing a ball.
The home team enjoyed their lead for the first half of the game, until the Ukrainian champions silenced Teramo in the third part. Finally the Italian team regained control in the fourth quarter, outscoring Azovmash 85-77.
Virgil is a true european center and a smart player too,  capable to keep the position under the boards and to defend on strong opponents, with good range from outside too.
