It was an amazing suprirse for Academik Plovdiv when their team defeated Cherno More on the road 62-79 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 17 points. Serbian forward  Aleksandar Mitrovic scored 23 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners
Mitrovic has a very solid season. In 14 games in Bulgaria he scored 12.6ppg. He also has 4.4rpg and FGP: 56.8%.Newly promoted Academik Plovdiv maintains ninth position. Loser Cherno More keeps the fifth place with 11 games lost. Academik Plovdiv will meet higher ranked Spartak Pleven (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Cherno More will play against Beroe in Stara Zagora and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
