An interesting game for CB Canarias which hosted in Tenerife second-ranked Real Madrid. First ranked CB Canarias managed to get a 11-point victory  75-64. The game was mostly controlled by CB Canarias. Real Madrid was better in third quarter 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for Canadian-Dutch Forward Aaron Doornekamp who was fundamental for Tenerife by collecting 17 points and 3 rebounds.

Real Madrid lost third consecutive game. Defending champion  dropped to the third position with six games lost. They share it with FC Barcelona and Valencia. CB Canarias will play against Movil Estudiantes (#11) in Madrid in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Real Madrid will play at home against FC Barcelona (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
