Al Alhy Benghazi (Lybian D1) added to their roster experienced 35-year old American swingman Dwayne Mitchell. He started the season at Yes All Gorgan in Iranian Superleague. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Iranian Superleague 2nd Team. The last summer Mitchell played at Garra Canera de Navolato in Mexican CIBACOPA where in 42 games he recorded very impressive stats: 19.8ppg, 6.4rpg, 5.5apg (top 4) and 1.3spg. Great season indeed as he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Mexican CIBACOPA Honorable Mention, All-Star GameLeague Player of the Week.In 2006 Mitchell was drafted by Yakama Sun Kings (CBA) in second round (20th overall).The former University Louisiana at Lafayette standoutis in his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Mitchell was voted Eurobasket.com All-Israeli League Player of the Year and Eurobasket.com All-Israeli League Import Player of the Year back in 2011.He is quite experienced player. Mitchell's career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in ten different countries. Mitchell tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in France (Levallois), Germany, Sweden (KFUM Jamtland), Ukraine (Mykolaiv), Uruguay (Olimpia), Venezuela (Bucaneros), Israel (Maccabi Rishon), South Korea (SK Knights), Mexico (Tijuana Zonkeys and Lobos UAD Mazatlan) and NBA G League (South Bay Lakers and Westchester Knicks).
