Aleksandar Capin signs at MZT Skopje

KK MZT Skopje Aerodrom (Slovenian Prva Liga) landed 33-year old Slovenian ex-international point guard Aleksandar Capin. He has a double citizenship as he also holds Serbian passport. Capin played recently at JuveCaserta in Italian Serie A. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries this year (!!!). In 9 Serie A games he averaged 7.3ppg and 2.2apg. Capin also spent pre-season at Buducnost in Montenegrin league. In 5 Eurocup games he had 4.4ppg, 1.4rpg and 2.2apg. He also played 8 games in Adriatic League where he had 3.0ppg and 2.3apg.
Among other achievements Capin's team made it to the Adriatic League Semifinals in 2013. He received also Eurobasket.com All-Adriatic League European Player of the Year award and Eurobasket.com All-Adriatic League Guard of the Year award in 2013. Capin was also a member of Slovenian international program for some years. He played for Slovenian Senior National Team between 2004 and 2008 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2002. Capin represented Slovenia at the European Championships in Spain eight years ago. He is a very experienced player.
Capin has played also professionally in France (Gravelines-Dunkerque), Germany, Greece (Panionios and Panellinios), Lithuania (Zalgiris), Russia (Lokomotiv), Turkey (Turk Telekom), Ukraine (Azovmash), Slovenia (Un.Olimpija) and Serbia (Radnicki 1950). His game is described as: A very promising PG who plays very well the pick and roll offense, shoots well and has the leadership to play in big leagues. Has yet international experience, needs to improve his defense.
