After playing his first two profewssional seasons in Poland, Alex Harris has found a home in Germany and will play with his third team in four seasons moving to the Walter Tigers Tuebingen. Harris is a 27 year old 196cm guard from Alameda, California that last season played for the Eisbaeren Bremerhaven. he played 26 games averaging 7,7ppg, 2,3rpg and 1,9apg. After scoring in double figures his first two seasons with Ludwigsburg, the American lost his scoring touch last season, but had to battle injuries. However he knows that Tuebingen is the right place to further his career.
"Coach Igor Perovic always told me that he believes in my qualities and that I need to find them again. The trust of a coach is very important. Another reason for coming is the fact that Johannes Lischka plays there. We played in Ludwigsburg together and understand each other. He is one of the best players in the Beko BBL. The last reason for coming are the fans and club. I was in Tuebingen when I played for ludwigsburg and met many nice people. I also heard only positive things about the club", stressed Alex Harris.
Tigers head coach Igor Perovic is also happy about the arrival of Alex harris. "He brings a lot of experience. He is an excellent shooter, transition player and in one on one very effective. We want to get him back to playing the way he did with Ludwigsburg. he is very motivated and we want to give him that trust. He will be an important factor in our offense", warned Igor Perovic.
