American swingman Tim Picket is having a great week with Gigantes, in Mexico.
First, his team crushed at home 12th ranked Gansos by 21 points 111-90, which was the biggest margin on that round on Thursday night. The game was mostly controlled by Gigantes. Tim Pickett helped to win the game recording 35 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. His fellow American import forward John Millsap helped adding 27 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Millsap is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Gigantes moved-up to tenth place.
Then the team faced higher ranked Soles in Toluca in the most important game of the round. Soles were defeated by Gigantes on the road 100-89. The game went without a history. Gigantes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was Pickett who scored 24 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists.
Gigantes are looking forward to face higher ranked Titanicos in Leon tonight and it may be quite challenging game.
