The American 6.5 guard Porter Troupe is having a great season in Romania. Yesterday, in the match against the Belgian Okapi Aalstar, Troupe clinched the victory for the Romanian CS Energia Rovinari Targu Jiu in the key game for the top position in Group I the Eurochallenge. Porter chipped in 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in 14 minutes on the floor.
Only last Saturday Troupe led Rovinari to victory in the game against Univ. Cluj in the Romanian league. He notched 18 points to lead the effort, collecting also 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Troupe's numbers this season are pretty good as he is averaging 13.1 ppg, 2.7 rpg and 2.6 apg in the Eurochallenge and 11.6ppg, 2.7 rpg and 2.6 apg in the Romanian division A.
Among the others achievements, last season Troupe helped Rovinari to clinch the Romanian Cup and received an Eurobasket.com All-Romanian League Honorable Mention in 2009 and 2012.
