Shanxi Zhongyu managed to get the third consecutive victory on Friday night. This time they outleveled tenth-ranked TianJin Steel in Taiyuan 125-105.
The game was mostly controlled by Shanxi Zhongyu. TianJin Steel managed to win fourth quarter 33-31. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shanxi Zhongyu shot 62.3 percent from the field and made 18-of-18 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Shanxi Zhongyu had a 29-17 advantage in offensive rebounds.
The best player for the winners was American swingman Marcus Williams  who scored 42 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line).
They moved-up to sixteenth place, which they share with Bayi R. Loser TianJin Steel dropped to the ninth position with nine games lost. They share it with Liaoning H. and Fujian
