Another signing in the Spanish ACB: Roger Powell
After the signing of the Lithuanian Guard Tomas Delininkaitis, another Interperformances player will join Murcia's Roster for the upcoming 2009/10 season. The new signing is the 6.6" American Forward Roger Powell, a true team player that does what he has to do to win. Roger played a key role at the University of Illinois, where he helped taking the team to the NCAA finals in 2005. In 2006 he played for the Arkansas Rimrockers of the NBDL. That season was named the D-League's player of the month for February 2007, averaging 27.6 points and 7.3 rebounds in 11 games, scoring at least 19 in each of the 11, including 46 in a February 2 game against the Fort Worth Flyers. In April 2007, he received the NBA Development League 2006-2007 Jason Collier Sportsmanship Award for Conduct and Character on court. In 2007-08, he joined Teramo Basket (Italy serie A) where he averaged: 26.1 mpg, 13.2ppg, 4.4rpg. The following season he joined Hapoel Jerusalem of the Israeli Premier League. His last seasons' statistics were: EuroChallenge: 21mpg 8.6ppg, 4.6rpg; Israeli League: 8.6ppg, 3.6rpg, FGP: 67.3%, 3PT: 31.1%, FT: 62.5%.
