International power forward Gabriel Mikulas put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Sionista, receiving a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 33-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 14 rebounds, while his team edged out Atenas (#2, 5-3) in overtime 98-96. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Sionista is placed at 4th position in Argentinian LigaA.
Mikulas turned to be Sionista's top player in his first season with the team. Gabriel Mikulas averages this season 13.6ppg and 6.4rpg.
