
ASA - Alliance Sport Alsace inks Ivan Vranes
French Pro B ASA - Alliance Sport Alsace tabbed 25-year old Croatian center Ivan Vranes. ASA Basket is a new team, born by the union of BC Souffelweyersheim and BC Gries Oberhoffen.
Ivan started the 2020-21 season at GKK Sibenik in Croatian Premijer Liga where he averaged impressive 16.5ppg, 9.0rpg, 4.0apg and 1.0spg then moved to SM Steaua Bucuresti in Romanian Liga Nationala where in 20 game he averaged 14.1ppg, 7.4rpg, 1.6apg. Vranes represented Croatia at the World Championships U19 in Heraklion (Greece) six years ago. His team won Silver.Vranes has played previously professionally also in Belgium (Kangoeroes) and Croatia (Zadar, Jolly, Gorica, Jazine and Sukosan).Among many awards Vranes' team made it to the Cup (Kresimir Cosic Cup) Semifinals in 2017. He received also Eurobasket.com All-Croatian A1 League Newcomer of the Year award back in 2016.
