In a spectacular final game at the Universiada Hall, Lukoil Academic won the Cup of Bulgaria against Levski 81-80. With this victory Lukoil grabbed the National Cup for the ninth time in the club's history, remaining undefeated after 21 victory and no losses in the regular season.
With only one point of difference in the result, the performance of the 6'5” point guard Bozhidar Avramov has been fundamental. Bozhidar led the game for the winners, scoring 21 points (he hit 7 three-pointers) and dishing out 6 assists.
Also Todor Stoykov and Veselin Veselinov played a key role in the match, being very useful in several fundamental moments of the game. Todor collected 12 points and 6 rebounds, while Veselin added 9 points.
The best rebounder of the whole tournament has been Nikolay Varbanov from Yambol, with 33 rebounds grabbed.
