Lukoil Academic Sofia (Bulgarian NBL) confirmed in their roster 35-year old domestic ex-international center Tencho Banev. . He has played there for the last five seasons.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Banev was selected to Bulgarian League All-Star Game back in 2004, 2008, 2011 and 2012.
He was also a member of Bulgarian international program for some years. Banev played for Bulgarian Senior National Team between 1998 and 2011 and previously for University National Team in 2003. He also represented Bulgaria at the European Championships in Lithuania four years ago. His stats at that event were 4 games: 0.5ppg, 1.8rpg.
Banev is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Cyprus (Apollon), Greece (Iraklis), Turkey (Beykoz) and Ukraine (BC Odessa).
