GKS Tychy (1Liga) signed 31-year old Polish ex-international power forward Wojciech Barycz. It is actually his comeback to Tychy as he played here before. Barycz played this season at Arkadia in Austrian A Bundesliga. In 36 games he had 6.8ppg and 2.8rpg last season.
The previous (13-14) season he played at Twarde Pierniki Torun (TBL). In 15 games he recorded 6.1ppg and 2.1rpg in 2013-14 season. He helped them to win the regular season.In 12-13 season Barycz was tested by PGE Turow (TBL). He contributed to his team making it to the semifinals.In 11-12 season Barycz played at Stabill Jezioro (TBL). In 33 games he recorded 7.4ppg and 3.6rpg in 2011-12 season.In 10-11 season he played at GKS Tychy. In four games he recorded 9.8ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.3spg and 1.0bpg in 2010-11 season.In 09-10 season Barycz played at Anwil (TBL). In 16 games he recorded 4.7ppg and 1.8rpg in 2009-10 season. He contributed to his team winning the league title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. A very impressive season as he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Polish 1Liga Player of the Year, Center of the Year and named to 1st Team.
Barycz was a member of Polish international program for some years. He was called to Polish Senior National Team back in 2006 and previously for U18 National Team between 2000 and 2003.Barycz has played also professionally in Italy (Benetton Treviso, Rimini and Napoli J.News), Poland (AZS Koszalin and Swiecie) and Taiwan (Taipei PE College).
