A very interesting game took place in Hafnarfjordur. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Tindastoll  to  Haukar 93-91 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Tindastoll. It looked good early as Tindastoll took a 3-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Haukar had a 29-22 second period charge getting the lead and Tindastoll was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 91-93. Haukar made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 53.6 percentage. Italian-Argentinian Pablo Bertone has been fundamental for the team cllecting for 16 points and 5 assists. He is having a great season in Iceland averaging 16.3ppg, 6.1rpg, 5.6apg in 9 games.
The victory was the third consecutive win for Haukar.  Haukar's next round opponent will be higher ranked Valur (#4) in Reykjavik.
