Naturalized Spanish Center Caio Silveira put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Paulistano, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 28.  Fifth ranked Paulistano played at the court of 8th ranked Vivo/Franca. Paulistano managed to secure a 9-point victory 88-79 on Wednesday. Vivo/Franca was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 29-18 charge of Paulistano, which allowed them to win the game. Paulistano outrebounded Vivo/Franca 34-19 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The  international center Caio Silveira fired a double-double by scoring 37 points and 12 rebounds for the winners.
Thanks to this victory Paulistano moved-up to the 6th position in Brazilian NBB.  In the team's last game Silveira had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Paulistano's top player in his first season with the team. Caio Silveira has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 16.4ppg), rebounds (6th best: 7.1rpg) and averages impressive 55.5% FGP.
