Buducnost Voli nabs playmaker Capin

Buducnost Voli Podgorica will have a veteran presence at point guard this season following the signing of Aleksandar Capin, who returns to the Eurocup for the first time since 2007-08. Capin (1.86 meters, 30 years old) has played parts of eight seasons in either the Euroleague or the Eurocup with six different teams. Last season he led the Adriatic League in both scoring and assists while suiting up for Serbian side Radnicki Kragujevac. He averaged 17.8 points on 42.1% three-point shooting and 5.1 assists and was also among the league leaders with 1.4 steals per game.
Capin began his career in the youth ranks at Partizan Belgrade and then spent three seasons with Krka Novo Mesto, for whom he made his Euroleague debut and helped reach the 2003 ULEB Cup final. He has since played for Telekom Bonn of Germany, BCM Gravelines Dunkerque in France, Panellinios and Panionios in Greece, Reggio Calabria and Pallacanestro Varese in Italy, Azovmash Mariupol in Ukraine, Lokomotiv Kuban in Russia, Zalgiris Kaunas in Lithuania, Union Olimpija Ljubljana in Slovenia and Turk Telekom in Turkey. He has won the Baltic League as well as domestic championships in Slovenia and Lithuania. Capin has also represented Slovenia at EuroBasket 2005 and '07.
