Vechta claimed ProA title. They did so despite losing to Crailsheim in the return leg of the championship series. The big road win helped Vechta secure the trophy. Crailsheim Merlins made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Key player for the team was American guard Chris Carter who produced 10 points and 8 rebounds.
Carter had a great season in Germany, averaging 11 points in 39 games, grabbing 3.4 rebounds and dishing out 5.3 assists per game.
