Cherkasy used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Bucuresti 90-64 on Wednesday night in the third round of the FIBA Europe Cup. The game without a history. Cherkasy led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Steaua B.'s 36. Cherkasy forced 20 Steaua B. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Chris Cokley who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds.
Cherkasy will face Prishtina at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Steaua B. will play against Bakken and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
