The NBA D-League has proven to be a springboard to the NBA. 60 players with D-League experience were on the 2008-09 NBA Opening Night rosters. 6'9” forward Coleman Collins is showing promise of being one of those players who will be promoted to the NBA soon. He led the Fort Wayne Mad Ants to a victory over the Thunderbirds 114-102 scoring 27 points, grabbing 10 rebounds and blocking 3 shots. Collins was the sixth player picked in the 2008 D-League Draft.
