CS Dinamo Bucuresti (Romanian Liga I) signed 27-year old Bulgarian ex-international small forward Pavel Marinov. He moved there from Balkan in Bulgarian NBL league where he played this season. In 37 games he had very impressive stats: 16.7ppg, 4.8rpg, 3.4apg and 1.1spg. He helped them to make it to the final after they ended regular season as second best team. Quite impressive season as he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Bulgarian League Domestic Player of the Year, named to 1st Team and to the All-Star Game.
The last season Marinov played also at Balkan (NBL) in Bulgarian league. In 31 games he recorded 14.8ppg, 4.5rpg and 3.5apg. He contributed to his team making it to the semifinals. A very spectacular season in his career as he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Bulgarian League Most Improved Player of the Year and named to 3rd Team. Marinov also played 18 games in Balkan League where he recorded 12.6ppg, 4.2rpg and 3.1apg. He contributed to his team making it to the semifinals. A very spectacular season in his career as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Balkan League Honorable Mention.The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Marinov won Bulgarian League championship title for two years in a row (2012 and 2013).He was also a member of Bulgarian international program for some years. Marinov played for Bulgarian Senior National Team between 2010 and 2014 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2008. He also represented Bulgaria at the Qualifications to European Championships 2015 last year. His stats at that event were 3 games: 6.3ppg, 2.0rpg, FGP: 70.0%, 3PT: 25.0%.Marinov has played also professionally for other Bulgarian teams like Yambol, Lukoil Academic Sofia and Tiger Yambol.
