Darius Silinskis number one in Slovakia for round 36
Lithuanian center Darius Silinskis put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Nitra, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 36. The 27-year old player had a double-double of 20 points and 16 rebounds, while his team edged out Prievidza (#2, 22-10) in overtime 83-81. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Nitra maintains the 3rd position in Slovakian Extraliga. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Nitra will need more victories to improve their 21-11 record. Darius Silinskis is averaging 6.1ppg and 5.2rpg.
