Davis and Pickett the best players of Mexican LNBP
American Brandon Davis had an amazing evening in the last round for Correcaminos and that's him to receive a Latinbasket.com LNBP Player of the Week award for round 11.The 27-year old swingman had a double-double of 42 points and twelve rebounds in the game against the first ranked Soles 80-111. Correcaminos moved-up to the 6th position in Mexican LNBP.
In the team's last game Davis had a remarkable 68.4% from 2-point range. He turned to be Correcaminos' top player in his first season with the team. Lamar University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Davis is league's best scorer averaging so far 29.8ppg. Davis is in league's top in rebounds (9th best: 6.7rpg) and averages solid 63.6% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 34-year old American swingman Tim Pickett of Gigantes. Pickett impressed basketball fans with 30 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course Gigantes cruised to a 111-102 relatively comfortable win over the higher-ranked Abejas.
Pickett is a newcomer at Gigantes and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.
