Deonta Vaughn joins Dinamo Tbilisi

Georgian Top team Dinamo Tbilisi strengthened their roster with addition of 30-year old American guard Deonta Vaughn.
Deonta started the last season at Petrolina AEK Larnaca in Cypriot Division A, where in FIBA Europe Cup he averaged 11.2ppg, 4.0rpg and 4.6apg. Then he moved to Boulazac Basket Dordogne in the French Pro B, where he helped his team to make it to the finals of the French ProB Leaders Cup.
He ended the previous season at Paris-Levallois (ProA), but the most of that year Vaughn spent at Anwil (TBL) in Polish league. In 29 games he averaged 11.6ppg, 2.9rpg and 5.1apg.
The 2013-14 season he played at Atomeromu (A Division) in Hungarian league. In 38 games he averaged 11.5ppg, 3.3rpg and 5.2apg in 2013-14 season. He helped them to make it to the final after they ended regular season as second best team. Vaughn also played 6 games in FIBA Europe Cup where he averaged 7.3ppg, 2.0rpg, 3.7apg and 2.2spg in 2013-14 season. He also spent pre-season at Polpharma (TBL) in Polish league earlier that year.
In 12-13 season Vaughn played at MIA (Superleague) in Georgia. In 30 games he averaged 14.6ppg, 4.5rpg, 5.4apg (top 5) and 1.9spg (in top 3) in 2012-13 season. He contributed to his team winning the league title and the cup. Great season indeed as he was voted to Eurobasket.com Georgian League All-Imports Team, 2nd Team and to the All-Star Game. Vaughn has played also professionally in Ukraine (Mykolaiv).
He attended University of Cincinnati until 2010 and it is his seventh season as a professional player. Deonta Vaughn is a combo guard who has shown that he can both score and distribute the ball very well. He possesses good strength for a freshman, which he combines with excellent quickness.
