Dimitrov comes back to Levski Sofia

BC Levski Sofia (Bulgarian NBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 21-year old Bulgarian international power forward Dimitar Dimitrov. It is actually his comeback to Sofia as he played here before.
Dimitrov played most recently at Arkadia in Austrian A Bundesliga. In 27 games he recorded 9.9ppg, 4.9rpg, 1.7apg and 1.0spg. The previous season he played at Levski Sofia. In 38 games he averaged 6.0ppg, 3.6rpg and 1.3apg. He helped them to make it to both league and cup finals after they ended regular season as second best team. Great season indeed as he was awarded Eurobasket.com All-Bulgarian League Newcomer of the Year and voted to Honorable Mention. Dimitrov also played 16 games in Balkan League where he averaged 7.8ppg, 3.8rpg and 1.3apg in 2012-13 season. He contributed to his team making it to the final.
In 2011-12 Dimitrov played at Basket Rimini Crabs (Serie B) in Italian league. He has been also a member of Bulgarian international program for some years. Dimitrov has regularly played for Bulgarian senior team since 2012 and previously for U16 National Team between 2008 and 2009. He also represented Bulgaria at the European Championships U20 in Tallinn (Estonia) last year. His stats at that event were 9 games: 11.2ppg, 6.9rpg, 1.8apg, FGP: 47.6%, 3PT: 41.7%, FT: 53.3%.
