Ebanks' double-double in the NBA Summer League
Devin Ebanks had a great night in his last game in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas. The 6.9 forward sealed a 91-87 victory for the NBA D-League Select team over the Philadelphia 76ers in the third game of the day in Cox Pavilion in the Summer Dessert Classic. He led all scorers with 23 points and pulled down game high 15 rebounds. The NBA D-League Select team finished the Samsung NBA Summer League 2014 with a record of 3-3 while the Philadelphia 76ers finished with a record 2-4 Former West Virginia standout Ebanks split time during his first two seasons between the Los Angeles Lakers and a pair of D-League teams in the Bakersfield Jam and Los Angeles D-Fenders. But he ultimately found himself back in the NBA Developmental League during his third year after the Lakers traded his rights to the Dallas Mavericks, followed by his signing with the Texas Legends, another NBA D-League franchise. The Legends traded his rights to the Springfield Armor in February 2014, where he was named to the 2014 NBADL All-Star Game. All of that has led Ebanks to the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, an audition period for several players that are hoping to make a splash back into the highest level of competition.
