Echague inks John Millsap
Atletico Echague Parana (Argentinian LigaA) agreed terms with experienced 35-year old American forward John Millsap. He will still stay in Argentina where he played last season at Lanus (). In 34 LigaA games he had 13.0ppg and 5.8rpg.Millsap ended the previous (2014-15) season at Sionista. In 15 LigaA games he recorded 13.7ppg and 5.5rpg. But the most of that year he spent at Gigantes in Mexican LNBP. In 22 games he was fifth best scorer with impressive 21.3ppg and averaged 8.3rpg, 3.3apg and 1.1spg. A very spectacular season in his career as he was named to Latinbasket.com All-Mexican LNBP Honorable Mention.
In 2008 (three years after he left the college) Millsap was drafted by Reno Bighorns (D-League) in first round (151th overall).The former Univ.of Texas - San Antonio standoutis in his twelfth season in pro basketball.Millsap has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2013.The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others his team made it to the CIBACOPA Semifinals in 2014. Millsap was also voted Latinbasket.com All-Mexican LNBP Forward of the Year back in 2012.He is quite experienced player. Millsap has played also professionally in China, Dominican Rep., Puerto Rico (Caciques), Venezuela (Guaros), D-League (Sioux Falls Skyforce), Argentina (Boca Juniors), Mexico (Bucaneros, Frayles de Guasave and Pioneros), Dominican Republic (Titanes Licey) and ABA (Salt Lake S.).
