Maccabi Ashdod (Winner League) strengthened their roster with addition of 27-year old American guard Elijah Millsap. He played in the summer at Petron Blaze in Filipino PBA league. In 20 games he was fifth best scorer with impressive 28.8ppg and had 11.5rpg (#5 in the league), 4.9apg (top 2) and 2.2spg (leader !!!).
The most of last season Millsap spent at D-Fenders in D-League. In 44 games he recorded very remarkable stats: 17.4ppg, 6.1rpg, 3.6apg and 2.0spg (in top 3). He also spent pre-season at Shanghai Sharks (CBA) in Chinese league that year. Millsap's team won PBA Governor's Cup Regular Season. He received USBasket.com D-League All-Defensive 3rd Team award in 2013. The previous (11-12) season Millsap was tested by the Lakers in NBA. In 2010-11 season he played at 66ers in D-League. In 53 games he averaged great 15.7ppg, 5.4rpg, 2.6apg and 1.2spg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. Millsap has played previously professionally in NBA (LA Lakers) and D-League (Tulsa 66ers). He attended University of Alabama at Birmingham until 2010 and it will be his fourth season in pro basketball.
