The most exciting game of round 17 in the Bulgarian NBL took place in Varna. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of second-ranked Beroe (11-4) to ninth ranked Cherno More (2-13) 98-97 on Friday evening.
The best player for the winners was forward Georgi Boyanov who had a double-double by scoring 39 points (17 rebounds and 5 assists. International forward Aleksandar Yanev-Georgiev produced a double-double by scoring 30 points and 11 rebounds and the former international power forward Stanislav Vaklinov added 14 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the guests.
Beroe at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. Cherno More are looking forward to face higher ranked Academik Plovdiv (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Beroe will play against Balkan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
