FMP Zeleznik adds Videnov, Woodward and Zekovic
With a major market move, the Serbian team KK FMP decided to reinforce its roster adding three new players till the end of season, just in time before the start of Serbian Superleague on April 10th. These players are Filip Videnov, Duane Woodward and Dragan Zekovic.
6.5 Bulgarian guard Filip Videnov (left picture) is not new to the Serbian League, having started the 2009/10 season in Crvena Zvezda. Before he left the team in March, Filip averaged 13.9 points (with an impressive FT rate of 94.4%), 3.2 rebounds and 2.4 assists. ''I'm glad that I came to the FMP said the Bulgarian. This is the right club for me.
I will use my experience to help this very talented team, to achieve good results.'' said the experienced American point guard Duane Woodward. Duane played in Cyprus and Italy for most of his career while most recently played in Lebanon with Al Moutahed Tripoli team. He was choosen as FIBA Europe League Player of the Year in 2004.
The third player that signed with FMP Zeleznik is the Serbian 6'11' Dragan Zekovic(picture on the bottom). He was considered one of the best young position 4-5 in Serbia. This year Dragan played in Austria with Arkadia Traiskirchen Lions, the same team with which he played last season where he averaged 13.9ppg, 4.2rpg and2.3apg. The Serbian revealed: ''I'm happy because I come along with players such as Videnov and Woodward, and I'll have excellent conditions for work and progress.''
