Two of the best players of the Russian top league's last round were 29-year old forward Alexander Fomin of Jaroslav and Roman Korchaga of Arsenal.
Fomin impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 23 points and 10 reboundsagainst Stroitiel Engels. Fomin is a newcomer at Jaroslav and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.6ppg (#1). He also registered 8.1 boards per game.
Korchaga showcased his all-around game by recording 18 points, six rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was a key player of Arsenal, leading his team to a 77-75 win against the higher-ranked Cheboksari.  Korchaga has a very solid season. In 12 games in Russia he scored 8.0ppg.
