If you observe Quantez Robertson for the length of a 40 minute European basketball game one could be occupied finding new nicknames for the exciting player like Fraport Skyliner living legend, Fraport Skyliner lifer, Supppppper Tez, Mr Freak Athlete and the list goes on and this will continue as the American will return back to Frankfurt for a 10th season. Robertson is a 33 year old 188cm guard that came to the Fraport Skyliners in 2009 after a stellar career at Auburn. In 9 seasons with the Skyliners, the Cincinnati, Ohio native has 324 easyCredit-BBL games ( 25th in BBL history), 2951 points (rank 24th), 1541 Rebounds (rank 11th), 861 Assists (rank 16th). There had been speculation that Tez may leave the club and go eslewhere for more bucks, but in the end he will always be a Fraport Skyliner Lifer.
"I am happy that at the end of August we had celebrate two milestones with 20 years Fraport Skyliners and 10 years Quantez Robertson. Pascal Roller was our identity figure in the first 10 years and now it has been Tez. He is a good example how international basketball is and how continuity and hardwork will put you in the hearts of the fans. The american continues to show that even in his thirties, he isn't slowing down as last season he played 40 games averaging 10.1ppg, 4.6rpg, 2.7apg, Steals-2 (1.9spg), FGP: 45.6%, 3PT: 33.3%, FT: 79.3%. "It is good that Tez will play with us again and keep continuity. He knows our system well, is our captain and a great team player. He showed great basketball at the end of last season and I hope he will continue to show it at the start of this season. He is a player that brings a lot of small things not seen on the stat sheet. He may only score 4 points, but still be the best player on the court. He is very tough, a strong rebounder, has a good eye for his teammates and our leader on defense", warned head coach Gordon Herbert. The 2010 BBL finalist and 2016 Fiba Europe cup winner is excited to remain in Frankfurt. "I want to go into this season with the same attitude as the last seasons. I want to stay healthy and lead the team as good as possible and get a title which has always been my goal. Frankfurt is a great city and my family feels comfortable here and I love to play in front of great fans. Our team isn't complete yet, but I am sure Akeem Vargas will help us a lot.
