Both Fraport Skyliners and Rovinari advanced into EuroChallenge Final Four, thanks to five of our talented clients.
Yesterday the Romanian team prevailed against Le Mans at home court in the decisive third game of the quarterfinal series. Rovinari and Le Mans exchanged baskets throughout the opening quarter. The scoreboard read 16:16 after ten minutes. Le Mans eked out a narrow lead in the second frame. The French team pulled ahead for a 33:32 halftime lead. Rovinari ignited a strong rally in the third term. The hosts went on a 24:13 run to take a 10-point lead heading into the fourth quarter. Rovinari exploded with 23 points in the final stanza and marched to the victory. Lamont Mack and Porter Troupe (in the picture) provided 14 points each in the win, Nemanja Milosevic added 12 points and 12 rebounds. Meanwhile, the Fraport Skyliners went on an impressive come-from-behind rally in the second half to beat Enisey in the decisive third game of the quarterfinal series. Fraport Skyliners eked out a narrow 14:13 lead after the opening frame. But Enisey shocked the hosts in the second quarter. The Russian team erupted for 31 points in the period to gain a comfortable 44:25 halftime lead. But Fraport Skyliners did not give up. The home team shifted the gear in the third term. The hosts exploded with 33 points to get within a single point at the final intermission. Fraport Skyliners went on an 11:2 run midway through the fourth term to secure a 76:71 lead. Aaron Doornekamp collected 9 points and 4 rebounds for the winners, while Mike Morrison added 4 points and 1 rebound. The next challenge will be on April 24th, where Milosevic, Tucker and Mack will face the Turkish top team Trabzonspor while Morrison and Doornekamp will meet Nanterre.
