GDESSA/Barreiro (Portuguese Liga Feminina) signed American guard Javonna Layfield. She just graduated from Dayton (NCAA). Layfield has played there for the last four years. She helped them to win the regular season and make it to the semifinals on her senior year, averaging averaged double-double 12 points and 12.9 rebounds on her senior year. A very impressive season as she was named to All-Atlantic 10 2nd Team.As mentioned above Layfield is just out of the college and it will be her first season as a pro.Her college team won Atlantic 10 Tournament in 2017.
