6'8” American Center Geoff McDermott has signed a one-year deal with the Dutch Eredivisie team Magixx KidsRights Nijmegen. Last season Geoff played with Barons Riga in the Latvian league, team with which he won the 2009/10 championship. The 23-year old center, played college basketball at Providence in the Big East, finishing his collegiate career ranking 29th in points (1,122), fourth in rebounds (1,055), eighth in assists (478) and fifth in steals
