Canadian NBL team Albany Patroons inked 30-year old American 193cm guard George Beamon. Beamon played most recently at BBC Nyon (Swiss SBL) where he averaged 19.2ppg, 3.0rpg and 2.3apg. ast season he joined Ovarense in Portuguese LPB league. In 13 games he recorded 14.4ppg, 5.0rpg, 2.3apg and 1.6spg last season.The previous (19-20) season he played at CAB Madeira (also in LPB) where in 20 games he was the best scorer with impressive 21.5ppg and had 6.2rpg, 1.5apg and 1.8spg (in top 5). Great season indeed as he was voted to Eurobasket.com All-Portuguese League 2nd Team.In 2014 he was drafted by Oklahoma City Blue (D-League) in third round (42nd overall).He attended Manhattan College and it is his eighth season in pro basketball.Beamon is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to six different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Beamon has played previously professionally in Canada (The Storm), Iceland (Thor AK Akureyri), United Kingdom (Worcester Wolves), Dominican Republic (Plaza), NBA G League (OKC Blue and Texas L.) and The Basketball Tournament (Brooklyn V. and Team Draddy).His team made it to the British BBL Cup final in 2018.
