Interperformances is pleased to announce that  talented 6'7" power forward Giga Janelidze has signed with Umana Reyer Venezia in the Italian Serie A. Born on April 3, 1995, in Kutaisi, Georgia, Janelidze began his basketball journey in Italy, playing in various youth teams before making his professional debut in 2013. Throughout his career, Janelidze has showcased his athleticism, versatility, and strong defensive skills, making him a valuable asset on the court. With notable achievements such as winning the Italian Serie A2 championship and the Supercup, Janelidze brings experience and a positive attitude to the team. Umana Reyer Venezia is excited to welcome Janelidze and looks forward to his contributions in the upcoming season.

"I am happy and it feels unreal, to the point that I had trouble believing it when I received the first call. I have been told that my positivity is contagious, both on and off the court, and I believe it is an important quality. I had three wonderful years with Eugenio in Trieste, winning the championship, and two very positive years in Serie A. I have learned a lot from him. I will bring my experience to the team and humbly do everything I can to keep the group united. I will strive to be a glue for the team and also help the new American players on and off the court.
